One way ticket

So I found out today that my baby sister will be moving to the U.K in 6 months time, my mums family live there so she will not be on her own, but we will miss her and with my other younger sister recently moved interstate it looks like it will be a lonely winter next year.

On a more positive note DH and I have a 4 day weekend at the end of this week and we will be using it to continue the renovations, painting the main bedroom and weeding the garden are two of the things we need to get done, NO EXCUSES!!!

As my profile states I also craft and below is a recently finished project, it's a cross stitch owl, there will be 3 all together and they will be given to my God-daughter as a Christmas present, the photo is not the greatest but I couldn't find the good camera :(.

I'm also working on a Gorjuss cross stitch design for another God-daughter which I will post up soon,

Take care

So we've decided on a floor for the lounge room, we were originally going to lay wooden floorboards but as the property is likely to become a rental investment we have decided to lay a new from of linoleum made by Gerflor, it will probably cost about $2k to but and get it laid so we need to get saving.

It's a good day today!

I got to work at 5 this morning to discover that I had won a family pass to the "http://www.granddesignslive.com.au/" event this weekend, this event is normally $30.00 a ticket. My other half DH and I are hoping that it will be able to provide us with some ideas regarding the house renovations, I'm hoping that I will be able to take lots of photos which will inspire us to take this project seriously.

hello

So I've been reading blogs for a while now and wanted to find out if I have what it takes to get one of my own up and running, so here it is!
At present my partner and I are halfway through a house renovation, we both work full time so the renovations generally are a weekend thing, this blog will be a good way for us to track and to hopefully stay on track with our progress, hope you enjoy reading it
