A quick update and happy Australia day

It's a national holiday here today, which means a 3 day weekend for most people, for me it means an extra day to relax and as it's been raining non stop for the last 2 days, I don't feel guilty about staying indoors sat on the couch watching movies and stitching.

I'm trying to get my Melbourne tram project finished this week so that it will be ready to give to DH as a Valentines day gift, we're not real big gift givers for Valentines Day but I think it would be nice for him to see it finished as it was a kit he bought me over 2 years ago, which was a WIP and then turned into a UFO, till I picked it up again recently as part of my rotation.

Here is where I'm at so far (please excuse the poor quality photos, the light here today is shocking due to the weather).

It doesn't look much like a tram right now but should hopefully by the end of the week.

My Joan Elliot welcome sampler is also coming along nicely, it's what I refer to as my slow project, it doesn't have a deadline, it's a piece I am doing for myself and as of today looks like this.

I know I said in an earlier post that I would rotate 3 different UFO's but I found it confusing to remember which week was for which project so I am just changing between the 2 for now.

Does anyone else rotate more that 2 projects and if so what do you do to track which week is for which project?

I found it!!

Finally after 2 weeks of searching I have located my Joan Elliot welcome sampler, and it was found just in time for this weeks rotation, I have attached a photo of what it looks like now and will update at the end of the week. This has been a UFO since 2006 and I am hoping that this year will see it finished, framed and hanging on the wall.

My new Tusal jar has also been started for 2013, pics of that will be posted on the new moon date 11/01/13.

Hope you all have a good week

Happy 2013 and my top 5 goals I would like to achieve

I don't make resolutions (I'm not very good a sticking to them) so I make a list of goals/things I would like to do achieve instead and here they are.

1. Spend more time with family and friends

2. Do bathroom renovation (need to save for this as I want to pay cash, no more putting things on credit cards)

3. Look into being able to work from home

4. Give homemade presents for birthdays and Christmas this year as this will reduce costs (see goal 2)

5. Travel more around Australia. DH and I have plans to travel this year but it's to places we have already been to, we would like to travel to a few new places so fingers crossed we can achieve this.

I have more goals but these are my top 5 and as I achieve them I will continue to add to the list, I'm particularly looking forward to achieving number 4 which will mean lots of craft time for me.

If you are a person who makes resolution good luck with achieving them.
